Music

Music plays an integral part in my life; there is never a day I go without listening to music. Although I can't call myself a true audiophile, I love to listen to music and appreciate anyone is willing to succumb to my eccentric tastes.

160 GB iPod Classic

Currently, I own several gadgets that host and play my music:

To access my music remotely, I occasionally use MyTunesRSS. It is a handy application that runs a server on your machine and hosts a simple, intuitive site which organizes your music in several ways and allows you to create playlists.

Sennheiser HD202

Headphones

When on the go or in the office, I tend to stick to my standard Apple ear buds. Since their redesign, they have pumped out rather decent sound for ear buds. They aren't spectacular at blocking out noise, but they weren't designed to. I have a pair of JLab Hi-Fi Noise Canceling In-Ear Ear Buds that I use as backup ear buds. They also provide a decent sound and are much better at blocking outside noise, but I often have trouble keeping the left bud in my ear. This can probably be solved by replacing the rubber bud ending with one of the different sized ends provided, but I'm not sure where mine are and don't use the buds enough for it to matter. Lastly, I have a pair of Sennheiser HD202 Headphones that I keep in my cubicle at work. For the price, they are great headphones. They fit well on my head, are very comfortable, and give off a great sound while blocking much surrounding noise.

JBL Creature II

Speakers

As mentioned, I'm no audiophile, and I'm also no millionaire. I get by with my JBL Creature II Speakers. Fortunately, Obie is saving up his Circuit City gift cards to pick up a decent 7.1 surround sound system for the apartment. So assuming they still accept gift cards when they go under (I'm told they are), we'll be rollin' in better sound.
